Report on Ordinance No. 18 of 1899.
I have examined the accompanying Ordinance, entitled
An Ordinance for the naturalization of
Wong Ping Lun alias Wong Kai.
and I am of opinion that the Ordinance is one which is not contrary to the
Governor's Instructions.
OBJECTS AND REASONS.
Wong Ping Lun alias Wong Kai is a native of Canton City in the province of Kwangtung in the Empire of China. He is at present employed as Comprador to Messrs. Bulliock & Co. and is a partner in the Kwan On and Kwan Tai shops at 41 and 11 Hollywood Road, Victoria, in this Colony, and has
